Finding Nemo

Remember the beach of xia4 ri4 moi4 moi4 ca2? Yup that's Redang! Crystal clear glistening sea of blue, turquoise and green, white soft sand, great sunny weather, fun company of friends, LOTS of fish (includes turtles, stingrays, bumpheads, baracudas, trumpet fish and of course Nemos) ... that's the kind of life man! (",)

Thanks to my colleague K who jio-ed me to his group of diver/snorkeler kakis. I got Tsewols and Deri@c to come along. And
we made a couple of new friends! Haha and we turned them into a gang of bridge players. I think they love us for that ("p)

The 3 musketeers

Been a diver since Uni year 1. Stopped for some years before helping out some reef conservation project and going on to Advance last year. Yup this is my maiden leisure dive trip. Can daresay I'm getting better in my buoyancy control (erm minus the 1 time fluke ascent). Still trying my best to not breathe out thru' my nose underwater.. yes that had "dire" consequences of a flooded mask.

Just to share some of the more interesting dives:

We landed near the seabed right where 9 GIGANTIC bumpheads were. I tell you, they ain't the least pretty. In fact they looked really scary with their teeth showing. Thank God that they are vegetarians! During the same dive, we saw turtles, stingrays among the more common creatures like Nemos, table corals, Emperor fish etc.

Bumpheads

On another occasion, we caught sight of a passing school of Baracudas just when we decided to ascend. So magnificent! When we finally ascended to the surface ... erm where's our boat? At some distance away, we saw our yellow-top boat which battery had died. Right. So there we were drifting away ..and very much stranded in the open sea. BUT it's still so fun! haha we were happily snapping pictures of ourselves against the backdrop of sunset. Nice! Finally we met some good Samaritans who rescued us on their passing boat. Thank God!

Stranded

We also managed to catch sunrise while we were there. I was reminded of the Lord's faithfulness that is new every morning (lam 3:23), just like the sun that never ceases to rise dawn after dawn. On retrospect, wanna thank God for the fine weather, for our safety throughout the entire trip, for blessing us with so much fun!

Overall, it was a good and fruitful trip. Thanks Tsewols for his digi-cam... I love diving! (",)

Nice photos on the redang trip. But tat's not all. There's also kayaking, snorkelling and the night sightseeing of the "blue sand".

The tranquility of the resort relaxes one's mind and squirrel feeding are one of nature's highlights.

Really enjoyed playing bridges and strategising!
hahah... till next time

Yup forgot about the blue sand part. But too bad it was all but a moment of enjoying the blue.

hee for the benefit of those who haven't seen blue sand before: Yes it's true! There is really such thing on earth! Not so on to find out the scientific reasoning behind it ... well .. if YOU know something abt it pls feel free to share ("p)

A next dive trip may be coming up soon .. *wink*
